The Beach:

Saturday morning ride meets at Bi-Lo (Living Room Coffee Shop) Shopping center on 38th Avenue and Bus 17 Bypass Myrtle Beach, SC leaves at 8:00am, average speed 17 to 19mph and ride for 40 to 75 miles. Starting time for this ride will change to 7:30am during daylight savings time.

Additional local ride options:

In Myrtle Beach proper, there are a couple of options:

Ocean Blvd has 4 lanes in many places with a wide sidewalk on at least one side just about all the way.  It is very cycling friendly from about 29th Avenue North all the way up to 82nd Ave North with a marked bicycling lane.

Dedicated bike walking path from 62nd Avenue North to 48th Ave North.  You can access it from the parking lot of the Kangaroo convenience store at the corner of 62nd Ave North and Hwy 17 bypass.

At the south end of MB, there at the old MB Air Force Base, have some new sidewalks for bicycling.  The scenery is not great, but there are some ponds and Seagate Village is a big neighborhood, which requires some caution.
